Which Summer Tour Will You Go To?

Summer concerts are simply the best concerts, everyone is happy, the sun is shining, and it's just all around good energy. There are quite a few tours this summer that you should definitely go to! Here is a list below!

  • Ariana Grande's Sweetener Tour- This tour began in early March of this year, but most of the tour was rescheduled due to her Coachella performances. This arena tour takes place all summer all around the US. This is definitely a show you do not want to miss, the visuals are breathtaking and the stage is a brand new concept. Her tour outfits are all incredible and custom made for her, and if you're lucky you will even catch her Balenciaga jacket that she throws into the crowd every show. The opening acts include past Fifth Harmony member, Normani Kordei, and pop duo, Social House. Both are close friends of Ariana and that energy shows on stage. Ariana will be stopping by Columbus on July 1st! Maybe you'll make it there!

  •  Shawn Mendes: The Tour- This tour has been going on since early March as well, but is only in Europe at the moment. The tour comes to US in June and he will be touring the country all summer with Alessia Cara as the opening act. Shawn uses incredible floral visuals and has a giant light up rose over the b stage located on the other side of the arena. Speaking from personal experience, Shawn's shows are incredible and he is a great live performer! You can catch him in Columbus on August 26!

  • Music Festivals- Although Coachella is over in the spring, you can carry on the music festival fun through the summer. Some summer music festivals are Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Bunbury, and coming back this year to celebrate 50 years, Woodstock. Music festivals are a lot of fun, a great opportunity to see and expose yourself to many different artists and music genres, and dress in a fun way that may not be acceptable in other settings. For us in Ohio, Bunbury is the closest festival and is located in Cincinnati May 31st through June 2nd, and the headliners this year include Fall Out Boy, Machine Gun Kelly, and the 1975.

  • Jonas Brothers- This tour has not been fully announced or started yet, but it has been confirmed that the Jonas Brothers will be touring again this summer performing their old hits and songs off of their new album that will be released on June 7th! Although the dates haven't been announced it is rumored that there could be stops in Indianapolis and possibly Columbus!

    I really want to see the Jonas Brothers in concert. It would be so fun! Good luck on finding a concert to go to this summer!

The Riding Out East, Then West, Then East Again Tour

This last Friday, I went to Cincinnati with my best friend to go see and meet YouTubers/comedians, Cody Ko and Noel Miller on their Riding Out East, Then West, Then East Again Tour. This was the second time I got to see Cody and Noel live, I saw them the first time earlier this year. They make commentary videos where they watch or react to strange videos and accounts and create parody songs, resulting in hilarious content. Their live show is nothing less than exceptional, I’d say funnier than their typical YouTube content. The whole show filled with tons of jokes, crowd participation, a few live songs, a live “That’s Cringe” segment, and a Q&A.  Before the show started, I was able to meet and talk to them a little bit which was a super fun experience. They were super sweet, but also made jokes the entire time. My dad said I wouldn’t ask them to roast me because I’m too sensitive, so obviously I had to ask them to do it to prove him wrong.
