The social media coordinator handles this job for an organization or company. This is someone who focuses on strategic planning/execution. Coordinators are responsible for making posts live on a schedule across various social media platforms. This is important because figuring out what times post go up and how they are constructed is very important in reaching the attention or your intended audience.

A content calendar is to help the social media coordinator stay organized and be able to visually see what is coming up and what information still needs to be planned. It also helps to make sure your branding is on track and that you are sticking to what your company is wanting to stand up for and make themselves stay on brand. Timing posts and promoting posts may be apart of this as well.

Here is a list of useful tools that can help you create your own content calendar!
