Artists to Watch in 2019

This year is going to be a HUGE year in new music! Not only is there a ton of new and upcoming artists hitting the scene, but also there will be a ton of music being released by some of your favorite artists. (Including the Jonas Brothers...yes...I did say the Jonas Brothers). I love discovering new music from new artists, it's always great to hear new voices and sounds. Whether you are looking for new artists to follow and listen to or are just ready to hear some new music from your old favorites, here is a full list and description of what you can expect in 2019!

Artists you already know and love that will be releasing new music this year include the Jonas Brothers (now going by Jonas), Rihanna, Cardi B, Justin Bieber, and Selena Gomez. Twitter exploded last week with the news of the Jonas Brothers getting back together, and it was confirmed that they have new music set to release and are looking at touring again! This is great news for every 2009 fangirl, who may have not gotten to see them on tour then, or just for those who want to relive their childhood!

Although Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have both released singles here and there throughout the years, neither has released an album since 2015. Both artists are looking to release an album before the end of 2019.

Some smaller artists that are being predicted to blow up or at least get their names out there in 2019 include Spencer Sutherland, Fletcher, Sasha Sloane, Ally Brooke, Jeremy Tucker, Mabel, and AJ Mitchell. Here is a short guide of each artists' style so you can decide which artists you may want to check out!

    • His first EP is set to drop March 15th! Spencer is in the singer-songwriter/pop genre. His voice is extremely unique to a lot of what you hear on the radio today, and he can hit the high notes like no other. He is set to open for Jack and Jack on their headlining tour all across America and will be doing more of his own headline shows later this year.
  • Fletcher:
    • A female artist in the pop genre that closely can resemble Halsey's sound. Her lyrics are incredible, deep, and easy to sing along to. Fletcher just released her first single of 2019 "Undrunk"
  • Sasha Sloane:
    • Very similar to Fletcher in the genre and sound of her music. Singer-songwriter, Sasha released an EP towards the end of 2018, and is doing a headline tour this spring!
  • Ally Brooke:

  • Jeremy Zucker:
    • A male artist fits into the pop/dance genre of music, but his music also has a very chill vibe. His newest single "Comethru" has personally been on repeat in my room for the last week. He is touring this summer, you can even catch him in May, playing at Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati.
  • Mabel:

    • A singer/songwriter with a very strong pop and dance influence. When I listened to her the first time I got a strong Dua Lipa vibe for sure. She just released her newest single in January, "Don't Call Me Up"
  • AJ Mitchell:
    • AJ is a pop artist who got his start on YouTube. AJ released his first EP in 2018, as well as single "No Plans" AJ is set to release his next song this Friday, March 1, to start off the new year. AJ will be touring this spring, you can catch him in Cleveland on May 17!
