Not Your Average Wednesday

Image
Yesterday was a really fun and cool day for me. I went back home on Tuesday night so that I could spend my day in Cincinnati on Wednesday for a concert. Little did I know so many good things would happen. Wednesday morning, I woke up extra early so I could go visit my daycare kids and spend some time with them since it had been over a month since I saw some of them. It was very bittersweet because I was not ready to leave them again, I love those kiddos so much!  Then we headed down to iHeart Media in Cincinnati for a visit to the Kiss107 studios where I got to meet and watch Lennon Stella perform. I have been a fan of Lennon’s music since I was probably 12 or 13 so it was really nice finally getting to see her and talk to her.  Before the event started, our friend Josh Martinez who works at the studios pulled my best friend aside to let her know that we would be meeting 5 Seconds of Summer, or 5SOS, later that day. My best friend and I have loved 5SOS since our freshman

Call Me Maybe?

One of my best friends leaves tomorrow for six months on a mission trip, and this post is an open letter to her.  Bets, I love you so much and I’m so proud of you for working up the courage and strength to go on this trip. We talked so much about whether or not it was the right timing for you to go, or if you were even ready to leave for that long. Even though I’m going to miss you like absolutely crazy, I’m so glad you are going. You will get to experience so many great things while you’re gone that missing just a few concerts will seem like nothing to you.  Even though I have only known you for a little over a year it seems like I’ve known you for so much longer. We’ve been to countless cities and concerts together seeing our dumb boybands and obviously AJ (hehe). We’ve bothered Josh Martinez to absolutely no end, and he’s also made fun of us to absolutely no end, but hey it is what it is.  This trip is going to be so life-changing for you and you’re going to chan

Childhood Dreams Coming True

Last Thursday, I saw the Jonas Brothers in concert in Columbus. I go to a lot of concerts, probably more than the average person, but there was definitely something different about this show. I have never seen anything like it. For me, and I’m sure a lot of others that attended, the Jonas Brothers was one of the first bands/musicians that I truly listened to. I had all of the albums, watched the show, was obsessed with Camp Rock, and watched their YouTube clips on repeat. I never got to see them when I was younger live, so when they broke up I was sad because I thought that their show was something I would never get to experience.  When they announced their reunion earlier this year my roommate and I knew we would be going to the tour without question. I was kind of worried that they weren’t going to sing any of the old classics and focus on their new music. Although their new music is very good, nothing compares to Burning Up, That’s Just the Way We Roll , and Year 3000.

Crave Cafe!

If you plan on traveling to Los Angeles soon, there is one restaurant you HAVE to try, Crave Cafe. It’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week (except Tuesdays when they close at 3 A.M. for cleaning). It’s located in Studio City, California right on Ventura Boulevard which is just 15 minutes from all of the main tourist spots in West Hollywood. There are other locations as well, but the one in Studio City is definitely more of a hot spot. They serve locally grown food ranging from breakfast foods to burgers to fresh pastries. Crave is reasonably priced and the food portions are rather large. The average price for a full meal is about $11, which is on the lower side of everything else in Los Angeles. You can get it delivered to you through Postmates, Door Dash, GrubHub, and Eat24. I was in LA for four days and I went to Crave twice, both after midnight and I got a fantastic omelet, and some great pastries.  One of the fun parts of going to Crave is you are very likely to r
